The "Ice Darter" ice fishing lure is very unique in it's design. The "Ice Darter" balanced ice fishing jig comes in two sizes; a size 6 (small) and a size 8 (large). The size 6 "Ice Darter" ice fishing jig is very comparable to a size 5 jigging Rapala, but weighs exactly 14 grams… the same as a #7 jigging Rapala. This means that it fishes the same as a #7 jigging Rapala, but its unique smaller size makes it easier for fish to inhale the bait. The size 8 "Ice Darter" ice fishing jig is comparable to a size 7 jigging Rapala, but weighs 21 grams, closer to the weight of a #9 jigging Rapala. This is an excellent ice fishing jig anywhere there's current or in areas around the Great Lakes where fish sometimes prefer a slightly larger profile bait.

The size 8 "Ice Darter" is new for 2010, and features a durable clear-coat finish, as well as super sharp red Matzuo sickle treble hooks on the belly of the bait. As with all "Ice Darter" ice fishing jigs, the holographic colors all have a subtle glow paint on the belly of the lure.
